Notable Speech loses Moulin favouritism to Charyn after Longchamp is hit with 25mm of rain
Charyn has eclipsed Notable Speech at the head of the market for Sunday's mouthwatering Prix du Moulin at Longchamp, with Godolphin's brilliant Guineas and Sussex Stakes winner described as "fairly friendless" by one bookmaking representative.
The Parisian track took 25 millimetres of rain on Thursday, although with completely fresh terrain reserved for Sunday's card there is little likelihood of the going getting any more attritional than soft, with a chance it could dry back to good to soft in British and Irish terminology if the forecast holds.
Paddy Power opened their book on the €400,000 contest with Notable Speech a 6-4 chance to record a third Group 1 of the season, while Charyn – who is chasing the same landmark – was a shade bigger at 13-8, and Henry Longfellow rated 5-1.
