Live racing returns from France on Monday after the coronavirus-enforced shutdown of the sport. Three meetings take place at Longchamp, Toulouse and Compiegne and here we guide you through what you need to know to enjoy the action in full.

How to watch

Sky Sports Racing (SSR) has been the home of French racing for over a year now and will be showing all of the action from Longchamp, alongside contests from Toulouse and Compiegne.

It is an early start with the programme beginning at 9.45am in time for the first race at Longchamp at 9.55am (Prix de Saint-Georges).

Monday's big-race action

SSR can be viewed on channel 415 on Sky, 535 on Virgin and 418 on Virgin Ireland.

A range of bookmakers will also be live streaming the action with the likes of Paddy Power, Coral, Ladbrokes, Sky Bet and Betfair offering customers without SSR the chance to view the action by having a bet.

How to study the form

The Racing Post website offers past performance data on the runners in France on Monday.

In addition, the prestige races at Longchamp have been analysed by our tipping team and the key figures in each race have been spoken with to get their thoughts on their runners. You can find these in our big-race previews.

Race replays are available on the France Galop website by creating a free user account.

How to find the winners

Our tipsters, led by Francophile betting editor Keith Melrose, have sifted through the hundreds of runners on day one to find you the best bets for the day.
