Confirmed runners and riders for Sunday's Prix du Moulin at Longchamp as Notable Speech takes on Charyn

The eagerly awaited meeting of star milers Notable Speech and Charyn is set to take place at Longchamp on Sunday after both featured among seven declared runners for the €400,000 Prix du Moulin (2.50).

Both colts will go in search of their third Group 1 win of the season at the trip, and will be joined by last season's National Stakes winner Henry Longfellow.

Charyn made his breakthrough in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot and then readily dealt with his first taste of the Classic generation when scooting three lengths clear of French Guineas winner Metropolitan in the Prix Jacques le Marois last month.

As for both of those victories, Silvestre de Sousa retains the ride aboard Charyn, who will be joined by a powerful second string for owner Nurlan Bizakov in the shape of Ramadan from the Christopher Head yard.

Notable Speech bounced back from an inexplicable sixth in the St James's Palace Stakes to display a searing turn of foot in the Sussex Stakes, a race in which Henry Longfellow could only finish fourth after cutting out the running.

Godolphin also field Tribalist, a multiple winner at Group 2 and Group 3 level, while Kelina will bid to add to her Group 1 tally at the same venue where she accounted for Kinross in last season's Prix de la Foret over seven furlongs.

Caramelito beat Docklands at Listed level over course and distance in May and continued his upward progress with a Group 3 success in the Prix Messidor at Chantilly in July.

The going on Longchamp's Grande Piste was officially 3.7 (souple) on the penetrometer on Friday morning, which approximates to good to soft on the GoingStick, while there is a risk of a further 2-4 millimetres of rain on Saturday.

Conditions eased appreciably on Thursday when the track took 25mm of rain.
