Confirmed runners and riders for Sunday's Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville
Starman and Campanelle will head a 12-strong field packed with quality for Sunday's Larc Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville.
Starman posted a first Group 1 success at Newmarket in the July Cup last month when storming up the hill from an unpromising position and will be looking to secure his position at the top of the European sprinting tree.
Campanelle returns from the US for Wesley Ward and Frankie Dettori, and the Commonwealth Cup winner leads a strong contingent of three-year-olds in the €370,000 feature.
Sunday 2.50: Prix Maurice de Gheest racecard
Laws Of Indices and Thunder Moon renew rivalries having finished first and second in the Prix Jean Prat over seven furlongs at this track last month, while another three-year-old, Wokingham winner Rohaan, bids to bounce back from finishing tenth when stepped up to Group 1 company in the July Cup.
Lope Y Fernandez will bid to extend Aidan O'Brien's tremendous run in France this season on a track where he already has two placed efforts at Group 1 level to his name.
With quality racing at the Curragh on Sunday, O'Brien once again turns to Ioritz Mendizabal, who rode Lope Y Fernandez last year and has already been successful in three French Classics this season, thanks to Ballydoyle pair St Mark's Basilica and Joan Of Arc.
Hollie Doyle will be back aboard Champions Sprint winner Glen Shiel and 2017 Maurice de Gheest winner Brando is back for another try at the age of nine for Kevin Ryan and Tom Eaves.
Marianafoot is one of just three local runners and bids to extend his winning sequence to eight for Mickael Barzalona and trainer Jerome Reynier.
