Beat The Bank settled in for bid to beat the competition at Sha Tin
Andrew Balding's stable star Beat The Bank, who is bidding to follow in the footsteps of the trainer's first Hong Kong International Races winner Phoenix Reach, looks to be taking to his debut international mission well.
The four-year-old will line up alongside the William Haggas-trained One Master and last year's winner Beauty Generation in the Hong Kong Mile at Sunday's meeting, one of four showcase races on the card at Sha Tin.
Speaking at the track on Wednesday morning, Balding's travelling head lad Simon Humphries said: "The trip to Hong Kong was all new to him and he's never even done an overnighter before. He's a bit quirky but he's taken the whole thing really well and has put all his weight back on. He'll have a blow under Sunday's rider [Oisin Murphy] later in the week."
