Barry Geraghty: 'If he's on song I'd love to see him go and take on Honeysuckle'
Barry Geraghty says a showdown between Constitution Hill and Honeysuckle is a "clash we all dream of" and hopes the impressive Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner gets the go-ahead to take on the unbeaten wondermare in the Paddy Power Champion Hurdle at Punchestown next month.
Geraghty has played a pivotal role in the career of Constitution Hill between buying him, breaking him and minding him for three years and the former champion jockey says it would be brilliant for racing if he were to lock horns with Honeysuckle.
Geraghty said: "If he's on song I'd love to see him go. If he goes, it will only be because Nicky and Nico are happy with him. You don't want to get ahead of yourself and she is a superstar, but his performance was brilliant and we all dream of clashes like this. If it were to come off, it would be brilliant for everyone. He has to give the right vibes for him to go.
