Joe Tuite's name will not appear on racecards in the coming months as the trainer has decided to bring his career to an end, citing the financial difficulties brought on by a dwindling string.

Tuite, who rode a handful of winners over jumps before assisting Mick Channon for nearly a decade, started training in Great Shefford in 2011 and made the short move to Lambourn four years later.

From his base on Folly Road, he sent out the fragile Litigant to win the Ebor under Oisin Murphy in 2015 and also made his mark at Group level. However, he has seen numbers more than halve from around 35 at their peak and the yard has recorded just two winners this season.
