'I definitely think he’s up to Graded level' - Gavin Sheehan's six to watch
Simply The Betts
Harry Whittington (trainer)
11211- (form)
He’s been in good form since his Cheltenham Festival win and has had a good summer off. I’ve sat on him a couple of times at Harry’s and he seems a really exciting horse. I definitely think he’s up to Graded level, when he won the Plate at Cheltenham I thought he had a fair bit up his sleeve. His form is very good and very solid.
I think he’s quite versatile in terms of trip. He could run in a Tingle Creek or he could go up in distance for a King George. He’s done a lot of his winning over two miles and he’s got a lot of speed but we’ve seen he’s got plenty of stamina too. He settles well enough that you could take your time with him over three miles. He handles winter ground and it’ll be interesting to see how far we’ll go with him.
