The Tote Ten To Follow bonus points for the Irish Grand National went begging as Freewheelin Dylan – who was not available in the competition – took Fairyhouse’s feature at a monumental Tote dividend of €232.10 for a win and €25.10 for a place.

That left Janidil, winner of the Grade 1 Underwriting Exchange Gold Cup, as the top scorer at the Easter festival. Representing 120 stables, his impressive success under a confident ride from Jody McGarvey returned a Tote win dividend of £17.70 to ensure a haul of 46.30 points.

Another to win in the green and gold of JP McManus was Elimay, fresh from her Cheltenham second. She took a Listed event for 14.32 points.

Three others picked up points at Fairyhouse: Letsbeclearaboutit, who has been beaten only by top-notchers Sir Gerhard and Kilcruit, landed the odds for eight stables to pick up 12.42 points; Stormy Ireland, back with Willie Mullins after a spell with Paul Nicholls, took the Grade 2 Underwriting Exchange Hurdle to earn 25.8 points for 67 stables; and Easy Game scored 23.3 points in the Grade 2 Devenish Chase for 254 stables.

There were just three Ten To Follow points scorers in Britain last week, with two of those owned by Johnny de la Hey. His Danny Kirwan never looked in danger at Wincanton and rewarded 24 stables with 13.2 points, while the same colours were in the winner’s enclosure at Plumpton as Diego Du Charmil took the Sussex Champion Hurdle, earning 13.3 points for 54 stables.

Ballymoy was the only other British-based Ten To Follow winner. He landed the Boyne Cup at Ludlow, bagging 13.2 points for five stables.

The competition now heads towards the biggest Ten To Follow days outside Cheltenham, with Aintree’s Grand National meeting staging five bonus races.

Winner of the March competition, Des Kehoe and his Hurricane Heights stable enjoyed another fruitful weekend to catapult them to the top of the leaderboard.

Janidil gave one of his stables a 6.64 point lead from the previous table-topper Mild Illusion but he also occupies third, seventh and tenth places with less than three weeks of the competition to go.
