How the season's unfolded - a look at the magic milers who've gripped us in 2020
With the Prix du Moulin bringing together some of Europe's leading milers at Longchamp on Sunday, we take a look at how the division has developed throughout the season for the colts and geldings.
French racing's return after the coronavirus lockdown in May allowed last season's ace juvenile and Lagardere winner VictorLudorum a prep run, but he was beaten in the Prix de Fontainebleau. However, he had clearly appreciated the run and sharpened up nicely to turn the tables on The Summit and land the Poulains – switched to Deauville from Longchamp because of the pandemic – decisively. He has twice finished third to the exciting Mishriff since subsequently being stepped up in trip.
