Bravemansgame’s joint-owner Bryan Drew believes his star novice chaser could be “absolutely top notch” and hopes he can prove a class apart in next week’s Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase.

The Paul Nicholls-trained seven-year-old is the second shortest-priced British contender at the Cheltenham Festival behind odds-on Champion Chase favourite Shishkin and is quoted at 7-4 to land the 3m½f novice chase. Those odds will shorten further if Bob Olinger and Galopin Des Champs are declared for the Turners Novices’ Chase.

Bravemansgame arrives with a perfect four from four record over fences and Drew, who owns the gelding with John Dance, said: “He’s a wonderful horse and completely flourished over fences.
