Henderson and Skelton salute JCR prize boost but warn 'others must follow suit'

Top jumps trainers Nicky Henderson and Dan Skelton on Tuesday hailed the Jockey Club's increase in prize-money for the final three months of 2021 and made a punchy plea for other racecourses to do likewise.

The pair said the group's pledge would strengthen the faith of racing's participants but warned the rest need to step up and follow the lead of Jockey Club Racecourses (JCR).

"Well done to the Jockey Club," Henderson said. "They're the first to say, 'We're off and running', which is great.
