Gredley family move horses out of George Scott's stable for 'private reasons'

A number of horses owned by prominent owner-breeders the Gredley family have been removed from the Newmarket yard of trainer George Scott for "private reasons".

Scott, who married Polly Gredley – the daughter of property entrepreneur Bill Gredley – in 2017, enjoyed his most prominent successes with the family’s James Garfield, winner of the Mill Reef Stakes and Greenham Stakes, as well as finishing second in the 2018 Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest.

Scott’s brother-in-law Tim Gredley, a former international showjumper, confirmed the family no longer had horses at the yard, but would not go into how many were removed or why.
