Cumani back in saddle for Royal Ascot
Things have gone full circle at Bedford House Stables where former incumbent Luca Cumani is back in temporary charge of US Royal Ascot hopes Slipstream (Commonwealth Cup) and Pizza Bianca (Coronation Stakes).
The duo, trained by Cumani’s former assistant Christophe Clement, moved nicely in their respective exercises on Warren Hill on Saturday.
Cumani said: “Both horses arrived on Tuesday and seem to have settled in well, with the trainer arriving next week. Things are a bit different as now when I ring Christophe after morning work I say, ‘Morning boss’, rather the other way around!"
