Gallinule Stakes winner Platinum Warrior continuing career in USA
Platinum Warrior, winner of the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh in May, is continuing his career in the US having had his final start for Michael Halford when fourth in the Grade 1 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington last weekend.
Halford said: "Platinum Warrior ran very well in the Secretariat, finishing well from behind and just missing out on third place. He stayed in the US and has gone to be trained by John Sadler.
"It's disappointing to lose him as he's a good horse and there should be more to come from him. I hope he does well."
Owned by Zhang Yuesheng, the son of Galileo finished ninth in the Irish Derby behind Latrobe, having beaten that colt by two and a quarter lengths in the Gallinule.
Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Romanised, meanwhile, who finished fifth in the Prix Jacques le Marois on his most recent start, will have one more run this season, according to trainer Ken Condon.
He said: "He'll have another run this year in either the Prix de la Foret or the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. We'll decide which race he'll contest in a few weeks' time."
