Cachet camp daring to dream after booking James Doyle for 1,000 Guineas ride
James Doyle, who could benefit from William Buick's decision to partner Native Trail in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday, may also profit from his close pal's Classic commitments at the track 24 hours later after picking up the ride on Cachet in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas.
The Nell Gwyn winner had been ridden by Buick on that occasion, but he is due to team up with Wild Beauty, successful in Newbury's Fred Darling recently, so Doyle – aboard Godolphin's seemingly second string Coroebus in the 2,000 Guineas – takes over.
He knows the George Boughey-trained three-year-old well having partnered her to place finishes in the Rockfel and Fillies' Mile last term.
Cachet, a 14-1 chance, runs in the distinctive light blue of Highclere Thoroughbred Racing who are set for a monster weekend with Royal Patronage on duty in the 2,000 Guineas.

Highclere head Harry Herbert said on Monday: "James has ridden her before and we're delighted to have him.
"I saw her this morning and she looks absolutely fantastic. She's got an incredible temperament and doesn't turn a hair with her racing and I've never seen her look so bright, or full or as well ever. She seems to be thriving and the Nell Gwyn seems to have brought her on again. George couldn't be happier with her and, having seen her with my own eyes, it's likewise for me."
Ante-post favourite Inspiral, who beat Cachet in the Fillies' Mile last year, was ruled out of the 1,000 Guineas on Sunday and Herbert, daring to dream, went on: "We would have had to improve, but who knows what would have happened on very fast ground?
"That could change the look of the race as some might not like it, but we know we do. She ran a great race at Del Mar at the Breeders' Cup on very fast ground. I think it's an open 1,000 Guineas and her form and wellbeing give us hope of a proper shout."
Cachet was among 16 fillies left in the 1,000 Guineas on Monday and her potential opposition includes the Aidan O'Brien-trained Tenebrism, the 5-2 favourite.
In Luxembourg, O'Brien has a lively contender for the 2,000 Guineas, but Godolphin's champion juvenile Native Trail is 10-11 with Ladbrokes and Coral to strike, while Coroebus – his Charlie Appleby-trained stablemate – is next at 4-1.
Highclere also have an interest in that through 33-1 chance Royal Patronage, who beat Coroebus in September's Royal Lodge.
Herbert has some reservations about Cachet's stamina for a mile, but that is not the case for the Mark and Charlie Johnston colt.

"He's done very well and looks fantastic," he said.
"He's bred to be more of a Derby horse than a Guineas horse, but he shows a lot of speed and didn't put a foot wrong last year apart from the Futurity when he was struck into. That was a legitimate excuse.
"He was always going to go straight to the Guineas or the Dante, but the way he's working and the way he showed masses of natural speed in a racecourse gallop at the Craven meeting has led Mark and Charlie being keen to run – and we're keen to run.
"Should he win a Guineas, he'd be an immensely important stallion prospect and to leave that on the table wouldn't be very clever business, while the Guineas is a great trial for the Derby anyway. I think he could run very well and he's beaten the second favourite. I think he'll go on the fast ground too; he's got a lovely action."
