No fluke about Marsha's thrilling Nunthorpe triumph
Marsha produced something of a turn up to reverse form with the big two but there seems no fluke about this strong-travelling success, and with a Racing Post Rating of 122 she rates a good winner of York's Group 1 speed test.
Impressive when defying a penalty on her return in the Palace House in May, she hadn't quite confirmed that form behind Lady Aurelia and Battaash at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood, but that Newmarket success had left the impression that she was capable of a 120+ figure.
With her RPR of 122, Marsha's performance represents a third consecutive top-class sprinting figure from the Nunthorpe winner after the successes of Mecca's Angel in the previous two years.
