'Sosie is coming nicely into form' - but master trainer Andre Fabre questions European three-year-old form
Andre Fabre is confident leading Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe contender Sosie is peaking at just the right time for Sunday's European middle-distance championship at Longchamp.
However, Fabre – who could on Sunday become the first trainer to send out an Arc winner in five different decades – says he remains unconvinced about the worth of this year's three-year-old form. His sentiments could be construed as something of a warning to punters ahead of a race in which the head of the market is dominated by colts from the Classic generation.
Backers of Sosie received a boost on Thursday morning when the Grand Prix de Paris and Prix Niel winner was handed stall five at the draw ceremony.
