Confidence growing in Look De Vega's Arc bid after Prix du Jockey Club winner produces 'remarkable piece of work'
Look De Vega came through his final piece of work on turf on Monday morning with flying colours, and those associated with the brilliant Prix du Jockey Club winner are growing in confidence they have him exactly where they want for Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
Look De Vega was one of 18 horses who progressed from an original 73 entries after Monday morning's first forfeit, with two more entry stages to come ahead of final declarations and the all-important draw on Thursday morning.
The previously unbeaten son of Lope De Vega relinquished Arc favouritism when labouring to third place behind Sosie and Delius in the Prix Niel on trials day at Longchamp, after which joint-trainer Yann Lerner stressed he had been short of peak fitness and that the race would bring him forward considerably.
