1 Southwell will be a serious workout for Troy
City Of Troy is not just going to Southwell for the Nottinghamshire air, or to take in any of the sights like Sherwood Forest. Oh, no. It's going to be a crucial mock exam and Aidan O'Brien expects to learn a lot from the answers he's given.
The plan is to go lickety-split for a mile with four or five rivals, and he will come out of the American-style stalls, too. The best possible job will be done to recreate Del Mar, although O'Brien acknowledged the surface would be very different. "He will work with the fastest horses we can find," he told us. So, no messing about.
