Unexposed local ace Sealiway on target for grand return in Arc next week
Sealiway is reported to be in great shape for a first attempt at a mile and a half in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe a week on Sunday on his first start since he chased home St Mark's Basilica in the Prix du Jockey Club.
Winner of the Group 1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere by a yawning eight lengths on the same card last October, Sealiway carries the colours of Haras de la Gousserie, which is also due to be represented over the biggest weekend of the year in France by Skazino in the Prix du Cadran and Rougir in the Opera.
"We are delighted with the way his preparation has gone up to this point," said Pauline Chehboub, who manages the racing interests of her father Kamel and uncle Bouzid. "He showed in the Jockey Club he is the best three-year-old in France, having already proved himself head of his generation here at two.
