Ivory has high hopes Librisa Breeze can blow hot in Al Quoz Sprint

Dean Ivory is dreaming of more top-flight success with Librisa Breeze after sending his stable star over to contest Saturday's Al Quoz Sprint on Dubai World Cup night.

Librisa Breeze provided the Hertfordshire trainer with his biggest victory when winning the Group 1 British Champions Sprint at Ascot in October and another memorable display is being forecast against an international field at Meydan.

"To win a Group 1 at home is fantastic, but if we managed to do it in Dubai it would be a dream come true – not just for me but for my owners and all the staff," said Ivory.

"I think he's got every chance. I wouldn't be sending him all that way just to take part – I'm going with the intention of having a big run."

Owned by Brighton FC chairman Tony Bloom, who won this month's Sun Bets Stayers' Hurdle with the Willie Mullins-trained Penhill at the Cheltenham Festival, Librisa Breeze can be backed at 12-1 for the Azizi Developments-sponsored contest over 6f.

The market is led by Blue Point, who is a best-priced 6-5 with Coral and Sky Bet, with fellow Godolphin hope Jungle Cat and local favourite Ertijaal next best at 6-1 and 8-1.

Librisa Breeze, who ran down Tasleet, Caravaggio and Harry Angel at Ascot, arrived in Meydan early on Saturday morning and had a gentle canter around the training track on Monday morning under groom Emily Crossman.

Ivory added: "I suppose a worry might be the climate. It’s been very cold with us at home and it’s set to be a warm week in Dubai.

"However, I still don’t think we’ve seen the best of him. Although he won a Group 1 last year he's been very unlucky at times. He has to come from the back or mid-division and finish with a late run so he needs luck in running.

"He's a big horse for the future and, barring accidents, I think we should have a lot of fun with him this year. I actually think he's going to be even better over 1,400-1,600m [7f to a mile]."
