Nick Scholfield: set for Grand National ride on Monbeg Genius

Nick Scholfield is relishing the chance to return to the limelight in next month's Randox Grand National, when he is hoping his vast experience in the race can help the prospects of Monbeg Genius.

Scholfield was not in action at the Cheltenham Festival but is fully focused on Aintree, where he is set for his 11th ride in the National on the Jonjo and AJ O'Neill-trained nine-year-old.

Monbeg Genius finished fourth in the Welsh Grand National on his penultimate start in December before winning his first race for two years at Uttoxeter last month.
