JP McManus lines up strongest Cheltenham Festival team yet with 50 per cent of favourites set to run in the famous green and gold
The Cheltenham Festival's all-time leading owner JP McManus is ready to launch a major assault on next month's four-day showpiece for which he has a staggering 50 per cent of the ante-post market leaders.
McManus has assembled his deepest ever team for this year's meeting and bookmakers William Hill make it just 3-1 for runners in his famous green and gold silks to claim seven or more races over the sport's four most important days.
A winner of 78 races at the meeting, McManus appears hungrier than ever with more than 70 entries so far and is responsible for the market leader in 14 of the 28 contests.
