Irish sensation Sam Ewing blown away by Brighterdaysahead with jockey confident mare has the speed for Champion Hurdle
Ireland's newest riding sensation Sam Ewing believes Brighterdaysahead has more than enough speed to cope with the demands of the Unibet Champion Hurdle should connections decide to take on the mighty Constitution Hill at Cheltenham.
The 21-year-old has ridden five Grade 1 winners in five weeks as he continues to prove he is the most able of deputies for the injured Jack Kennedy, and he was blown away by the sensational performance of Brighterdaysahead in the Neville Hotels Hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas.
That 30-length romp has seen her emerge as the biggest danger to the imperious Constitution Hill, who returned with a bang in the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton, and Ewing had no hesitation in saying Gordon Elliott's rapidly improving six-year-old would have the necessary pace to be a big player in the opening day highlight of the Cheltenham Festival, for which she is priced between 4-1 and 5-1.
