It's all about Mee for Mullins

Willie Mullins is always thinking two steps ahead. The new 'State Man' rule, where you have to have five runs over hurdles to run in a non-novice handicap, should mean we don't get to see anything spectacularly unexposed running but, lo and behold, JP McManus has snapped up Kopeck De Mee from France and he's been smashed up for everything. 

How many runs has he had? You guessed it. Five. Bingo. The Listed Hurdle he won at Auteuil last summer is working out nicely, too, as the third there has won since and went on to finish runner-up in a Grade 1 afterwards. 

Kopeck De Mee is now favourite for the Coral Cup, the County Hurdle and the Martin Pipe.
