Los Angeles could take on Economics and Calandagan in red-hot Champion Stakes at Ascot on Saturday
The big two could become the big three in the Qipco Champion Stakes after Aidan O'Brien revealed he is considering taking on Economics and Calandagan with Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe third Los Angeles.
The Irish Derby winner is reported to be none the worse for his exertions in France, where he made most of the running before finishing third behind Bluestocking, and could be the Ballydoyle number one in a race O'Brien has won only once in his glittering career, with Magical in 2019.
Magical, like Los Angeles, ran in the Arc 13 days before the Champion Stakes, finishing fifth to Waldgeist in Paris and then beating Addeybb at Ascot under Aidan's son Donnacha.
