'He has a big shout' - French ace Facteur Cheval fancied to put it up to Charyn and co in QEII with rain forecast at Ascot
Jerome Reynier is looking forward to taking Facteur Cheval back for a third crack at Ascot's straight mile and a potential showdown with Charyn in Saturday's Qipco-sponsored Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, believing his Dubai Turf winner has a "big shout" as he attempts to improve on last year's second-placed finish.
Twelve months ago Facteur Cheval recovered from a slow start to overhaul Tarnawa for second, although neither had any answer to runaway winner Big Rock.
His second visit to the track resulted in a disappointing performance in the Queen Anne, but that came in between his win in the Dubai Turf and a decent effort when third to Notable Speech in the Sussex Stakes on ground arguably too lively for him to show his best.
