Needing to talk to Ryan Moore is a bit like needing to go to the dentist. You dread the drive to the surgery and it can be uncomfortable when you are in the chair, but it is never as painful as you expect it to be, provided you are not getting a wisdom tooth removed, of course. 

It was a chilly Wednesday morning at Del Mar, just after 9am, and Moore was after doing a lap of the dirt track on the unbeaten two-year-old filly Lake Victoria when an opportunity knocked to doorstep him. He was isolated, open for questioning. What's the worst that can happen? 

"Ryan, you can tell me to piss off you if you want, but could I grab two minutes with you. I'll only ask three questions max."
