Sean Levey believes his Breeders’ Cup Turf mount Jayarebe “ticks a lot of boxes” for a race that has been dominated by European horses in recent years.

Jayarebe landed the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot before finishing second to Economics in the Prix Guillaume d’Ornano at Deauville and most recently winning the Prix Dollar at Longchamp. Champion Stakes scorer Anmaat was back in fifth.

The Brian Meehan-trained colt, owned by Iraj Parvizi, is a general 7-1 chance, with the top five in the betting trained in Britain or Ireland. European horses have won eight of the last ten runnings, with the 2022 winner Rebel’s Romance heading the betting at 5-2.
