'He could be very dangerous' - Notable Speech set to spearhead Charlie Appleby's Breeders' Cup team
No European trainer has had more success at the Breeders' Cup in recent years than Charlie Appleby and the leading trainer is readying another red-hot team this year, spearheaded by the "very dangerous" Notable Speech and 2022 Turf winner Rebel's Romance.
Appleby has saddled seven Breeders' Cup winners in the last three years, and ten in total, at the blockbuster meeting, and he is set to have seven runners across the two days at Del Mar on November 1 and 2.
Appleby's one concern regarding 2,000 Guineas and Sussex Stakes winner Notable Speech is how the colt might travel, but with lessons learned on his recent trip to Longchamp, and with a sound surface all but guaranteed in California, Godolphin's number-one trainer is confident in his stable star.
