And, just like that, it was over. It was like finding out Bruce Willis was a ghost in the opening scene of The Sixth Sense or knowing Ed Norton and Brad Pitt were the same person when having their first fist fight in Fight Club. 

If you were tuned into the 41st running of the Breeders' Cup Classic to see City Of Troy, you knew the ending of this particular movie once the opening credits had concluded.

How ironic, really, given the first trailer for this blockbuster came out more than a year ago. It was after he had waltzed away with the Dewhurst last autumn when the idea was first floated, and from there we were carried on a wave of wonderment.
