BoyleSports are demonstrating their faith in the future of retail betting with plans to expand their British betting shop estate this year.

Ireland's biggest high street betting operator gained a foothold in the British retail market in 2019 with the purchase of the Midlands-based Wilf Gilbert chain of independent bookmakers but is now looking to grow organically with a UK property team led by Lee Otter, once of William Hill.

BoyleSports chief financial officer Mark O'Neill said the firm was looking to open another 20 betting shops in Britain before the end of the year.
