Very little was business as usual during the Covid-impacted 2020-21 season, but Willie Mullins' staggering success proved as relentless as ever.

A total of 16 domestic winners over the festive period was followed up by a sensational nine Dublin Racing Festival victories – six of which came in Grade 1 company – while a final-race success at Cheltenham secured his eighth trainers' title at the festival.

Mullins' 14th domestic championship was already in safe keeping before the Punchestown festival, where he was crowned the meeting's top trainer for the 18th time, in the process breaking his 2018 record of 18 winners.
