Jumping numbers may be edging down as the Flat side of the operation gets bigger, but there is still plenty to get excited about at Barbury Castle this winter.

Alan King had a fine team of novice hurdlers last season and is looking forward to novice chase campaigns this term with the likes of Helnwein, Masaccio, Menaggio and The Doyen Chief.

The Scottish Champion Hurdle winner Favour And Fortune has suffered a slight setback but was always set to stay hurdling in 2024-25, and hopes are high he'll return in the second half of the season.
