It is all change behind the scenes at Kim Bailey's Thorndale Farm this season.

Long-serving stable jockey David Bass has departed, with Tom Bellamy now the key man in the saddle, while there will soon be an addition to the name above the door as Mat Nicholls, assistant for 16 years, prepares to join the licence.

On the track, stable star and Grade 1 winner First Flow has exited after a wonderful swansong success at Lingfield in January, but in Cheltenham Festival winner Chianti Classico there could be a ready-made replacement set to mix it with the best in Britain.
