David Jennings speaks to the brilliant dual-purpose trainer about her Flat team
Jessica Harrington has reinvented herself. The artist formerly known as 'just a jumps trainer' is now the queen of the Flat in Ireland and has seven Group 1 wins next to her name. Number eight is surely just around the corner too.
Fillies like Alpha Centauri, her first Classic winner who sizzled in the summer of 2018, are only supposed to come around once in a lifetime, but this year's crop of three-year-old fillies are so special that Harrington admits to "having to pinch herself to make sure what's happening is real".
One of her biggest problems has been trying to pick and choose what Guineas to go for with them, a task made more arduous by the Covid-19 restrictions.
