Manchester City nuts Middleham Park Racing have been at it again with their trend of naming horses after players at the Etihad Stadium. This time around they have given a two-year-old filly with Alice Haynes the moniker Filly Foden after the City and England midfielder Phil.
The name for the Stockport-born player has long been reserved by the syndicate organisers and comes a year after they called a juvenile colt The Strikin Viking in honour of Erling Haaland, who they have since sold to Wathnan Racing.
