Eagled-eyed racing fans will have noticed a new name riding for Paul Nicholls at Chepstow on Friday as Jay Tidball took his first mount for the trainer.
He was hardly given a low-key introduction to his time with the 14-time champion as he was booked to partner Grade 2 winner Enrilo, a talented if slightly frustrating sort, in the £30,000 veterans’ handicap chase.
