Last weekend produced a good crop of maiden winners. The four-year-old geldings' race at Turtulla struck me as the strongest maiden I've ridden in since the start of the campaign, and the Ellen Doyle-trained winner The Jukebox Man is definitely a name to note.

Before the race, there was plenty of chat about several of the runners. Mattie O'Connor Flynn's Full Metal Jacket came with a good home reputation and a strong pedigree.

He's by Shantou out of the Willie Mullins-trained Adriana Des Mottes, a Grade 1 winner in the novice mares' championship race at Fairyhouse.
