Smart Mogul gives owner Murphy first point victory

The Kilworth & Araglen Harriers meeting took place behind closed doors at Ballyarthur and Colin Bowe, who can claim the credit for starting off three Grade 1 winners at last week’s Cheltenham Festival, sent out two winners.

Both were partnered by Barry O’Neill, the pair getting off the mark with newcomer Maggies Mogul in the Foley Timber Harvesting & Radley Engineering four-year-old mares’ maiden.

Maggies Mogul, a first point winner for sire Valirann, was bounced out in front and jumped smartly at the head of the field.
