Liz Lalor hits 95 winners to pass career landmark on progressive Ask Mary

The weather hit us badly at the weekend, with only the Dromahane meeting surviving. On the plus side there were double-figure fields for the first three maidens on the card and the racing was generally competitive.
Conditions were testing and only four of the 12 completed in the four-year-old race won by the Pat Doyle-trained Shot To Hell, a Gigginstown horse by Kayf Tara. I rode him when he was a distant third on his debut at Lismore and he has obviously come on a lot for that run.
He’s out of a half-sister to Young Spartacus who won the old Mildmay of Flete – now the Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Plate – at the 2003 Cheltenham Festival.
