Lake Victoria shows Guineas potential as Newmarket Group 1 winners top juvenile rankings
The two-year-old division had a shake-up at the weekend with Shadow Of Light and Lake Victoria, winners of the Middle Park Stakes and Cheveley Park Stakes respectively, taking the top two positions in the rankings.
Lake Victoria, the fourth foal out of 2016 Commonwealth Cup winner Quiet Reflection, maintained her unbeaten record – one that speaks of tremendous progress – in impressive fashion.
A Racing Post Rating of 116 compares well with Aidan O’Brien’s previous four Cheveley Park winners and others in the last ten years. She matched what Tenebrism – previously the best O’Brien-trained winner – produced in 2021.
