Festival picture a whole lot clearer - but Leopardstown runner-up is big at 50-1 for the Supreme
Several things were cleared up over Christmas. Chief among them was the likely destination of the Arkle, with Sir Gino a top price of 10-11 following a sparkling chase debut at Kempton in which he completely dismantled Ballyburn.
The Gold Cup looks like staying with Galopin Des Champs following his comprehensive Savills Chase victory, and the only surprise with him is that 6-4 is still available. Who can beat him in that form? Fact To File tried and failed, Gerri Colombe did likewise in last season's Gold Cup, and then it's Monty's Star at 20-1 – no chance.
You would have thought the Champion Hurdle was a done deal, too, after the Christmas Hurdle, but Brighterdaysahead's demolition job in the Neville Hotels Hurdle on Sunday might just have changed that.
