While betting operators come to terms with working under the fifth different government minister to oversee the Gambling Act review they can feast on further food for thought that has emerged from two new research studies.

Providing a mixed bag of findings, one investigation by the analysts KPMG examined consumer protections offered by online services, including gambling, and the other, conducted by YouGov, sought to give a voice to the consumer view on the whole subject of gambling.

The reports appeared to show that while operators had shown a commitment to high standards of customer protection, they still have a lot of work to do to improve wider public perception of the industry.
