Battleoverdoyen has always looked the type to make a chaser. We know he’s fit and healthy, and he should enjoy an excellent season.
Benie Des Dieux has many options, with the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham likely to be a major target. She is unfortunate not to be unbeaten in eight starts for Willie Mullins.
Buveur D’Air remains the most logical selection for the Champion Hurdle and the trials. I hear that connections are really happy with him after his summer break.
De Rasher Counter looks just the type to pick up a deep-ground staying handicap chase this winter for Emma Lavelle. The Ladbrokes Trophy Chase could prove within his grasp.
Defi Du Seuil impressed in the Shloer Chase on his reappearance. He is bound for the Tingle Creek and can be a real force in the two-mile division.
Fakir D’Oudairies is the type to win plenty of races and pick up plenty of points before Cheltenham. I'm sure connections will be keen to get plenty of experience over fences into him. He jumped really well at Navan.
Lostintranslation jumped really well at Carlisle and looked good when landing the first leg of the Triple Crown in the Betfair Chase. He looks the part for the King George and Gold Cup.
Paisley Park carried all before him in the staying hurdle division last season. He is still lightly raced and there is no reason why he cannot continue in the same vein this term.
Slate House has gone up 6lb after his Cheltenham fall, but there are still plenty of options off his new mark. I fancy him to win a big handicap.
Samcro looked rejuvenated at Down Royal the other day. Hopefully he won’t prove to be fragile. He will need plenty of experience over fences before Cheltenham in March.
