Oli Bell provides a wildcard Betfair Chase pick in his Tote Ten To Follow
I wanted to have the Ladbrokes Trophy and Paddy Power Gold Cup covered, while also offering an alternative selection in the Betfair Chase.
Shishkin was terrific last year and if he takes to fences – and there's no reason he won't – he's got the world at his feet. Hopefully, he will be aimed at the Arkle, while Envoi Allen appears to be more likely to run over two and a half miles. He could be the star of the season.
Honeysuckle should rack up plenty of points due to the nature of the mares' programme. She's top of the division and I love the horse.
I'm going to take a chance on Two For Gold, who I own a very small share in. He's talented and there's a slim possibility he might run in the Ladbrokes Trophy, with races like the Rehearsal Chase on the cards. If the season goes well he could go for the Grand National.

Simply The Betts is my Paddy Power Gold Cup horse. He loves Cheltenham and the form of his win in January is outstanding.
McFabulous impressed when winning the Persian War and looks top class. He could be the next star of the staying hurdle division.
I had to include Chacun Pour Soi. His win before the festival was superb. He's supremely talented and hopefully he can stay healthy.
I'm keen to keep Saint Calvados onside with one eye on the Betfair Chase. The trip is a question mark but I can see him causing an upset. If he doesn't, he'll still give you some runs for your money.
Lostintranslation obviously covers the Betfair Chase and could be a Gold Cup horse. The Tizzards suggested their horses weren't 100 per cent at Cheltenham so for him to run as well as he did last year is credit to him. With a smoother prep next time round I can see him picking up big points.
Saint Roi is a star. It was a tough choice between him and Epatante but I've not got many from Ireland, so that swayed it.
