Watching the Breeders' Cup this weekend, many will have remembered a juvenile star who produced one of the most devastating demolition jobs in the 35 years of the meeting.

Arazi’s spellbinding display in the Juvenile in 1991 capped a seven-race unbeaten campaign, including four top-level prizes, and cemented his status as one of the all-time great two-year-olds.

At three his form somewhat petered out, including defeat behind Brief Truce in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. Their connection does not end there.
