James Stevens picks wildcard Dashel Drasher for Tote Ten To Follow strike

Thyme Hilllooks an exciting addition to the three-mile staying hurdling division and can pick up his share of points throughout the season. He could be a leading player in the Stayers' Hurdle.

Although they are not bonus races, there are plenty of points to be won by three-mile novice chasers before Cheltenham and The Big Breakaway looks likely to play a starring role in that division. His big pre-Cheltenham target is the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices' Chase, so he is worth an entry.

It is hard to look past Shishkin, who could dominate the two-mile novice chasing division and, with a huge selection of Graded-level options before Cheltenham, he deserves his place.

His stablemate Chantry House is the final novice chaser, selected for the two-and-a-half mile division. His campaign is another that could involve plenty of Graded races. Although not a bonus race, you would expect the Scilly Isles Chase to be a long-term target.

A different way of winning points could be by finding an outsider capable of winning a big race at sizable odds. Dashel Drasher had some superb form as a novice chaser last season and could land a good pot off a rating of 145.

Danny Whizzbang is another capable of progressing through the handicap ranks and is a second staying handicapper to add to your team. He looks progressive and could be one for the Scottish Grand National.

Over hurdles, Saint Roi looks the best two-miler in Ireland and is sure to pick up plenty of points in Grade 1 contests building up to the Champion Hurdle. His County Hurdle success in March was startling and he gets the verdict narrowly over Abacadabras.

For a lesser-known name add in the Paul Nicholls-trained Silver Forever, who is likely to be sent chasing. She has many options, being a novice chaser and a mare, and will likely be campaigned to win at a higher grade for black-type than attempt to capture big prize-money. That could work in our favour.
