Some might call Charlie Parker a glutton for punishment.

In July last year Parker took on three high-profile roles to become one of the most influential figures in British racing's leadership.

He succeeded Nicholas Cooper as president of the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), took over from Philip Freedman as chairman of the Horsemen's Group and also accepted a seat around the BHA board table.
